Our Race
Kendra's Race is a sprint distance triathlon hosted by the UCSB Triathlon Team to benefit the Kendra Chiota Payne Memorial Fund. This is our eighth edition of the race, and we hope to make 2012 our best year ever. This year, we have added a 5k run option in an effort to get even more athletes involved in the event. The race serves as the UCSB Triathlon Team's big fundraiser for the year, and we take pride in bringing the Santa Barbara community one of the best sprint triathlons on the West Coast. We hope you'll add Kendra's Race to your 2012 race calendar, and take part in this awesome event!

All three legs of the race begin and end on UC Santa Barbara's campus at Campus Point. Please visit our Directions page for details about how to get here and where to park.
Collegiate
Our race will be part of the West Coast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (WCCTC) triathlon circuit. The WCCTC was co-founded by UCSB alumnus J. Ritterbeck in 2005, and it is now the largest collegiate triathlon conference in the country. In 2011, the WCCTC won the Conference Competition at USA Triathlon's Collegiate National Championship.
At Kendra's Race, teams from the WCCTC will compete for points, which will go toward determining Conference Omnium Champions and qualifiers for the Collegiate National Championship. WCCTC athletes receive registration discounts with a valid WCCTC number.
High School Our race will also serve as the California High School State Championship for the Southwest High School Triathlon Conference. High school students and teams interested in joining the conference should contact Conference Director Mark Mason through the website. All high school students are eligible for a $20 discount on race entry using the code "HighSchTri". Relays
Teams of 2 or 3 may register as a relay for the triathlon and compete as male, female, or co-ed. See our Registration page for details.
